Hormones regulate reproductive behaviors across species. In insects, juvenile hormone (JH) and ecdysteroids influence reproduction, aggression, and parental care. We are interested in their roles in a solitary parasitoid wasp, exploring how JH and ecdysteroids affect aggressive behaviour contest outcomes, and how pesticide can disrupt this relationships. In earwigs, we examine how JH is essential for maternal care but not solely responsible for triggering it. Our presentation will be delivered in two parts and with two voices.
