Séminaire externe Joël Haas

Metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD) is the most common chronic liver disease worldwide and is closely associated to obesity. Though primarily characterized by abnormal hepatic lipid accumulation, MASLD refers to a spectrum of disease, combining steatosis with varying degrees of necroinflammation and fibrosis, the most severe stage is called metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH). The precise mechanisms of disease progression from steatosis to MASH are not well understood. Work from our group and others has helped to characterize the complex changes in hepatocyte function and the hepatic immune compartment which associate with disease severity. This conference will focus on the application of single cell transcriptomics to the liver as a means to determine the disease mechanisms.
L'organisation de ce séminaire est soutenue par la SFR-B2S.
