Evaluating wildlife's capacity to adapt to rapid environmental changes is crucial, as shifts in species distribution and abundance are already evident. Fertility is increasingly recognized as a key predictor of species distribution in predictive models. However, most studies assessing climate change effects on fertility focus on a single stressor, neglecting possible synergistic or antagonistic interactions.
Therefore, we investigated the effects of two environmental stressors, salinity and temperature, on the hermaphroditic marine flatworm Macrostomum lignano, aiming to characterize its stress induced reaction norms.
