COURSE OBJECTIVES
Get a better understanding of professional organizations (outside academic world) and their cultures
Identify jobs and positions available to PhD’s, among which those relating to innovation, and how to get in touch with this “invisible” job market
Identify main components of one’s professional project (competencies, aspirations, values…)
List and name which personal and professional skills should be promoted or enhanced according to one’s project.
It is NOT a training on how to write curriculum vitae or motivation letters, but a process to help you build your professional scenarios on you experience, skills, motivations. It will help you enhance the professional network that will – when time has come – support your project.
PROGRAM, TRAINING CONTENT
We’ll go back and forth between examples and questions, to explore:
Your experience, understanding and maybe fantasies about professional worlds, and broaden what you think a PhD’s position is or may be Imagine which original path could be yours, which kind of organization and team could better match your skills and tastes.
To do that, you will be asked to revisit your professional identities, as a researcher among others, your own resources (material, social, and maybe psychologic ones), and build an action plan based on your convictions and questions.
