Professor Thomas Marichal is an internationally recognized leader in lung immunology, head of the Laboratory of Immunophysiology at the GIGA Institute. His work, published in Science Immunology, Nature Immunology, and other top journals, has reshaped our understanding of myeloid cell roles in lung immunity and repair. He was awarded prestigious prizes including the ERC Consolidator Grant (2023) and the Baillet Latour Biomedical Award (2022).
