Emmanuel Pahud a organisé un programme autour d’Aurèle Nicolet à l’occasion du 95e anniversaire de sa naissance (1926), de la sortie d’un livre qui lui est consacré, du fait qu’il a été un brillant prédécesseur d’Emmanuel à Berlin (de 1950 à 1959), qu’il a été son professeur, qu’il s’est intéressé à développer de son temps le répertoire de la flûte, que c’est un musicien suisse. Et pour résumer le geste d’Emmanuel, que c’est un musicien de tout premier plan auquel il souhaite rendre de toute évidence hommage.

Accompagné par les éminents Kolja Blacher au violon, Jennifer Stumm à l’alto, Jens-Peter Maintz au violoncelle et Christine Schornsheim au clavecin, Emmanuel Pahud propose une belle promenade au bord du Rhin en compagnie de Bach, Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven, Widmann et Boulez.

Emmanuel Pahud organized a program around Aurèle Nicolet on the occasion of the 95th anniversary of his birth (1926), the release of a book dedicated to him, the fact that he was a brilliant predecessor of Emmanuel in Berlin (from 1950 to 1959), that he was his teacher, that he was interested in developing the flute repertoire in his time, that he is a Swiss musician. And to sum up Emmanuel's gesture, that he is a leading musician to whom he obviously wishes to pay tribute.

Accompanied by the eminent Kolja Blacher on the violin, Jennifer Stumm on the viola, Jens-Peter Maintz on the cello and Christine Schornsheim on the harpsichord, Emmanuel Pahud offers a beautiful walk along the Rhine in the company of Bach, Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven, Widmann and Boulez.
