Dialogues - Oriental Ensemble

The Haute école de musique's Ensemble Oriental, directed by Basel Rajoub, a founding member of the Aga Khan Master Musicians, brings together students from the HEM around the rich and varied repertoires of the Middle East.

The concert will open with a Turkish-Persian programme performed by a small ensemble conducted by Hossein Rad and Pelin Başar. The full Ensemble Oriental will then take over to perform Turkish, Arabic, Kurdish and Persian pieces. The concert will also include compositions by two Masters students, Neda Joukar (tar) and Defne Signoret (saxophone).
