Catherine Fearns is a British composer and pianist living in Geneva, Switzerland. Her solo piano compositions (published as sheet music by Universal Edition) explore the full range of the piano’s capabilities. Her first album, Half Life, was released by Blue Spiral Records in 2021, with the EP Solitary Walker following spring 2023. Catherine is also the guitarist/keyboardist for acclaimed all-female heavy metal band Chaos Rising, and as such her piano music explores the links between classical, rock and metal.

She has collaborated on recordings with many other artists, including Dan Breeker Band, Headbangers Social Club, Dan Weeks and Green Spectre. As a performing artist Catherine has a wide repertoire encompassing classical, jazz, pop and rock, and is experienced playing cocktail piano for hotels, weddings and other events. Catherine is also an award-winning novelist and for her, writing, composing and performing are all part of the same storytelling process.
