[Séminaire Caen] Measuring intersectional disadvantage

Crédits : CREM

Abstract:
Intersectionality describes how multiple social identities such as race, gender, and class interact with each other to produce unique forms of disadvantage. In this paper, we axiomatically characterize measures of intersectional disadvantage. To our knowledge, we are the first to do so. We discuss the relationship between our measures and interaction terms in linear regressions, and apply our measures to the US context using administrative data.
